Hakam Kanafani

Hakam Kanafani is the Chairman of Arab Advisors Group, Jordan. Kanafani has over thirty years experience in Telecommunications and Digital Technology. Previously he served as the Group CEO of Türk Telekomünikasyon. He chaired the boards of Türk Telekomünikasyon subsidiaries in Turkiye and Europe. Kanafani began his career at NASA (Goddard Space Flight Center) in the United States. He then served as the CEO of Datum (Egypt’s first ISP) and then as COO of PalTel Group and the CEO of Jawwal, Palestine's first private, cellular network.

Kanafani is a University Trustee Scholar and holds Beta Gamma Sigma honors from the United States. He is a founding member of Young Global Leaders and Young Arab Leaders. Kanafani served as a Director for GSMA for two years and as a Director of SAMENA for seven years. During his college studies he was a research analyst for Apple Labs at the University of Maryland, College Park.
