Al Taani is a UK graduate with over 37 years of collective national, regional, and international experience in the telecommunications industry; working in the public and private sectors has gained him deep and distinctive knowledge and expertise in the technical, operational, policy, and regulatory domains of the industry . Al Taani held the position of Chairman of the Board and CEO of the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission of Jordan; after which he served as an Executive Office Advisor for the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Oman. Prior to that he worked for many years with the national operators and provided advisory services to some regional telecom operators. He worked as a consultant with the World Bank. Currently he provides advisory services to an Omani investment house.
